Keurig Coffee Maker Review - Cleanup One of the first things you'll notice about the Keurig is how well engineered it is. It is obvious that the folks at Keurig took great care in designing the coffee maker to be as easy to maintain as possible. As I've mentioned before, the Keurig requires no cleaning between each cup. You don't have to dump out and rinse coffee grounds out of a filter. You just take out the used K-Cup and throw it away. Keurig recommends cleaning the housing with a "soapy, damp non-abraisive cloth." The drip
tray and stainless steel grate easily separate from the machine and are dishwasher safe. The
drip tray can hold up to two cups of spilled coffee or tea.
Depending on the mineral content of your drinking water, you'll need to de-scale the brewer at least every six months, and more often if your water contains a particularly high amount of minerals. Keurig offers a convenient de-scaling kit. |
